I’m Matt Clarke, a South Australian nightscape photographer, filmmaker, and creator of Clarkie Captures & Nightscape Odyssey.

My love of the night sky started as a kid with a hand-me-down telescope and a star chart. Years later, that same curiosity turned into a passion for photographing the Milky Way, exploring dark skies, and helping others experience the feeling of standing under ancient starlight.

Today, I create tutorials, field videos, workshops, and downloadable guides to help beginners and enthusiasts learn nightscape photography in a practical and inspiring way.

Whether you want to capture your first Milky Way photo, improve your camera settings, find better dark-sky locations, or simply feel more confident under the stars, Nightscape Odyssey is here to help.
